Amanda Teles

Profile

Amanda works clinically in Lacanian psychoanalysis, a field driven by its transformative, subversive, and enabling potential. It is this innovative force that mobilizes and guides her listening, committed to sustaining bonds that are rooted in otherness—with respect for the uniqueness of each subject.

Brazilian, she currently lives in France, where she is pursuing her master's degree in Psychoanalysis at the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier III. Her current research focuses on the intersections between artistic creation and psychoanalytic practice, understanding them as spaces of resistance, creation, and possibility—where new ways of being in the world can emerge.

She holds a degree in Psychology from UNESP (São Paulo State University), Bauru campus, where she completed internships supervised by research in psychoanalysis in institutions (CAPS), in the psychoanalytic clinic with children, and in the socio-educational inclusion work of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities at the APAE (São Paulo State School of Social Sciences) in Bauru. She also specialized in Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Analysis at PUC-RS, where she investigated the effects of contemporary social and political dynamics on the individual.

His clinical practice is underpinned by an ethic that focuses on the unconscious subject, on creating a space for discourse that doesn't reduce, but rather preserves, enigma, difference, and what escapes normativity. To this end, he maintains a constant stream of research, actively participating in study groups, courses, lectures, and debates—in addition to his own analysis and clinical supervision of his cases.
